If there’s something our Victoria menswear fans are always looking to pick up, break in and wear out, it’s heavy, quality denim – this week we’re happy to be filled up with sizes from one of our most popular menswear denim brands, San Francisco’s Tellason Denim. Inspired by the midcentury American workers and the culture that sprung from the denim world in the Bay Area of San Francisco, Tellason has hit a mark at Still Life For Him with men ranging in age from sixteen to sixty-five finding their new favourite jean from the brand.
This season the brand is back with the same variety of classic 5-pocket jean options: Gustave Slim, Ladbroke Grove Tapered, John Graham Mellor Slim Straight Leg and Ankara Straight Leg. Available in either a 12.5 or 14.75oz weight denim, Tellason Denim is cut and sewn in San Francisco using only the finest Cone Mills White Oak Denim from North Carolina.
In addition to the 5-pocket jean styles, Tellason has perfected a new denim outerwear option with their fantasic Coverall Chore Coat. An update to an original collaborative chore coat designed by Jay and MaryLynn of Smith & Butler in Brooklyn, the jacket features several utility pockets with a right side interior pocket, selvage hit around collar and front placket and extra rivets used to fortify newspaper pocket stress points. This fantastic fall jacket is now available in three fabric options: 11oz. Cone Mills White Oak indigo dyed canvas, 12.5oz Cone Mills White Oak denim and 13oz brown dyed Italian Candiani denim.
Born in the city that helped define west coast cool and cement denim culture in America, San Francisco’s Tellason Denim is a fresh new denim brand in name only. Tellason Denim represents 40+ years of combined denim industry knowledge inherited from founders Pete Searson and Tony Patella. Built on the foundation that premium denim price tags should reflect a premium product, all Tellason Denim is sourced from the legendary Cone Mills’ White Oak plant in Greensboro, North Carolina. By cutting and sewing the jeans in the Tellason factory in downtown SF and finishing them with branded leather patches from Tanner Goods in Portland, Oregon, Pete & Tony have given the world a denim range that is genuinely Made In America.

Alex, the versions of the Tellason Coverall/Chore Coat we have now are the newer Tellason versions versus the original Tellason x Smith & Butler (Brooklyn) version. It is definitely possible the original collaborative versions didn’t have the interior pockets, but all our new ones definitely do. Thanks for the link your blog looks great.
you are absolutely right, no inside pocket, thanks !
