Nudie Jeans is one of the number one brands that our customer base best associates with Still Life For Him & For Her. We were early adopters to the now-global denim brand, finding their core values (Swedish design, quality denim & ethical production) extremely appealing even as they tested the waters during their early years and experimented with fits and styles. More than 10 years later we’re happy to say that Nudie Jeans is our premiere denim brand at both locations, with a very wide variety of fits doing well on all types of our friends and family (from our 16 year old younger sisters to our 65+ wonderful mums).
Way back in 2006 Nudie Jeans declared that the goal for the future would be to have a 100% organic denim collection. W\e are happy to say that with this first delivery of FW12 styles, they have reached that goal - all Fall/Winter 2012 denims are made with 100% organic cotton. The Nudie Jeans team will be the first to admit that it has been a struggle to reach this ‘ambitious’ goal as most of their denim suppliers had few if any organic denims when they began this project. This forced Nudie to change the way they work. Benefitting from the international brand recognition and continually increased sales, it has become possible for the brand to develop their own fabrics. Instead of buying from the collections offered by their denim suppliers they have now begun developing their own organic fabrics, together with their suppliers, enabling Nudie Jeans to continue to produce denim exactly as they want them to be.

- Tight Long John Organic Navy Neps: Nudie’s very own 11.5oz Turkish power stretch denim. The original dark blue colour lingers on in the two needle seems and the navy thread contributes to the dark impression. Smooth, light blue scrapings give great contrast. Navy threads all over and navy back pocket embo. Organic copper trims and pocket lining. 98% organic cotton/2% elastane. Tight Long John sits low on the hip and is tight all the way through the hip and thigh with narrow leg opening. Most Long John’s are made from power stretch denim. Available For Her.
- Tight Long John Orange Icon: Turkish 11.5 oz denim. Nudie Jeans orange all over. The denim has been bleached down and then overdyed in bright orange. This wash will light up a dark winter day and bring you some extra energy. Nudie Jeans orange threads all over and orange back pocket embo. Organic copper trims and pocket lining. 98% organic cotton/2% elastane. Tight Long John sits low on the hip and is tight all the way through the hip and thigh with narrow leg opening. - Tube Kelly Organic Twill Rinsed: Nudie’s very own 11.5 oz Turkish power stretch made with organic cotton. It’s a beautiful fabric with clean, flat surface and great dry hand feel. The darkness in the shade comes from sulpha that has been added to give it a less red cast. The look is dry, but the jeans have been rinsed to get maximum elasticity effect. Nudie Jeans orange threads all over and orange back pocket embo. Organic copper trims and pocket lining. 98% organic cotton/2% elastane. Tube Kelly sits low on the waist and is tight and narrow through the hip down to the thigh and knee. Compared to Tight Long John and High Kai the leg opening is slightly wider. Available For Her.
- Thin Finn Black & Grey: 12.75 oz denim from Turkey. Jet black with charcoal grey, smooth scrapings. Black threads all over and black back pocket embo. Organic gunmetal trims and pocket lining. 98% organic cotton, 2% elastic. Thin Finn is a slimmed down version of the 1950′s carrot shaped silhouettes. Finn has a normal rise and an extra low back yoke. It’s slim from the hip and tapers down to a narrow leg opening.
- Grim TIm Used Favourite: This Turkish 12.5oz denim looks heavier than it really is. Coarse twill with really smooth, subtle treatments on blue green ground. It’s just so right. Nudie Jeans orange threads all over and orange back pocket embo. Organic copper trims and pocket lining. 100% organic cotton. Grim Tim is a straight slim fit with normal rise. It’s straight from hips through thigh and parallel from the knee to the leg opening.
- Hank Rey Recycle Dry: 12.5 oz denim from Turkey made of a recycled cotton. Red cast denim with flat surface and evident crosshatch effect. Nudie orange threads all over and orange back pocket embo. Organic trims and pocket lining. 100% cotton. Made in Italy. The straight and regular Hank Rey has a normal rise and a low back yoke. It’s straight from the hip down to the knee where it tapers down slightly at the leg opening.
- Khaki Reg Dry Tan: Unwashed, heavy twill with soft, brushed and rustling hand. At front: pockets in side seam and a small, jetted coin pocket. Button fly with silver buttons. The fly has a smart old-fashioned detail, an under flap with a buttonhole that is closed with a flat customized button. At back: No yoke. Tilted welt pockets where the pocket bag is marked with a blind stitch. Lined waistband. Narrow two-needle seams along inside seams and front and back rise. The fit is based on Sharp Bengt. 100% cotton.
